Dr. Randall Moore
Doctor Randy Moore was raised in the edge of Jones County in the Summerland community on the family farm, raising broilers and cattle. He is a graduate of Taylorsville High School. His undergraduate studies were completed at Jones County Junior College, Millsaps College (Jackson, MS), and Mississippi State University. Dr. Moore received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University in 1980.
Upon graduation from Veterinary School, Dr. Moore joined Dr. Doug Jefcoat at Sawmill Animal Hospital. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association, and has served as president of the Jones County School Board. Dr. Moore enjoys surgery and medicine of large and small animals as well as the relationships developed with his clients. Dr. Moore married Meg Mayfield in 1975, and they are members of First Baptist Church of Laurel. Together, they have three children: Ben (Meredith) Moore, Margaret Ann (Wesley) James, and John Randall (Leslie) Moore. Dr. Moore enjoys gardening, LSU sports, and traveling with his family.
